New Jilianisms....

Here are some fun words and phrases she says now....

"Daddy, stop reminding Mommy....she doesn't want to talk about it!" (when Daddy is "nagging" Mommy about something)

"We went to gymnastics, and anybody was there!" (instead of 'nobody', she says 'anybody')

"I'll tell you when Michael Scott comes on." (the traffic guy on the radio)

"Mommy, why did you call him a jackass?" (Mommy needs to watch the road rage :)

"It makes me nervous to tell you about my day." (Like she knows what nervous means!)

"That block is Catawampus!" (Thanks, Miss Sarah, for that cool word!)

"Can I have Cool Quip on my shortcake?" (instead of Cool Whip)

We are so lucky to be Jilian's parents. This little person has taught us so much more than we ever thought possible. We don't sweat the small stuff anymore, and if we had to choose between folding the lauundry and dressing up in princess gear (again), it wouldn't even cross our minds. It's amazing what you can learn from a 3 year old. Everything is so simple in their eyes, and it's so much better that way. While I might yell a cuss word (like Jackass) at another driver, the word patience was hardly in my vocabulary before Jilian. And stubborn, boy is she ever....just like her Mama! While she is mostly a very well behaved kid, when she doesn't get her way, she is very passionate about it. She is a very thoughtful kid - when I left this morning to go to court (another long story), she said "I'll pray for you Mama." When I asked her what she said when she prayed for me, she said "Dear Jesus, please let my mom come home. Amen." I got tears in my eyes. :) She truly cares about people and worries what will happen to them. And, of course, my little ham has to always be laughing! She is the sweetest thing to come into our lives. We feel so lucky to have her, and after all that we went through, we look back now and say "It is so worth it." And all that other stuff just doesn't matter....
